Discovery Attorney

Rembrandt IP Management, LLC is a small, suburban based company seeking an experienced attorney to assist in all aspects of patent litigation discovery. Our needs fluctuate so candidate must be willing to work on a contractual basis either at our office or from home.

The ideal candidate for this position is an attorney with at least two years of patent litigation experience with an emphasis on conducting discovery. The candidate must be comfortable with all phases of discovery, including:
 
  • Document Collection: Experience using computer-based document search and collection tools, a good understanding of Boolean search functionality, and the ability to generate effective search terms.
  • Document Review: Ability to quickly understand important aspects of complex cases in order to successfully discern relevant from irrelevant documents. 
  • Privilege Review: A good understanding of the attorney-client privilege and work-product doctrine.
  • Documents Analysis: Identify important topics of a case, key individuals, and highly relevant documents.
  • Production: Experience creating privilege logs and redacting documents using computer-based tools.
Generally, the candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to focus on a single activity for an extended period of time. Candidate should also be able to work independently, but willing to seek advice when questions arise.
